About IRAD 2024

IRAD 2024 is the 4th International Conference on Irrigation and Agricultural Development and builds on the successes of the previous conferences. With the incidence of climate change and its associated effects on water, food security and health, IRAD 2024 emphasizes on the need for sustainable solutions. In this year’s conference the concept of the one health approach is introduced to bring to the fore how multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better health outcomes. IRAD 2024 will bring together practitioners, academics, policy makers, beneficiaries, farmers, water resources engineers, technical experts and students, from across the African continent on the same platform to shares ideas.

Publication

All submitted papers SHOULD BE OF HIGH QUALITY that can be published in reputable journals. All submitted papers will be subjected to double blind peer review to uphold the high standards of the conference. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings – IRAD 2024 Proceedings.

Papers demonstrating high rigour, theoretical and practical implications will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Irrigation and Agricultural Development (IJIRAD) a Journal of the West African Centre for Water, Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture, University for Development Studies after peer review.

  • Full Paper Submission: February 10, 2024
  • Late Conference Registration: January 10, 2024 to February 15, 2024
  • Non- presenters can register from now till the day of conference
