Ms. Kwami explained that in July 2021, the Africa Block of the Campaign launched a competition, calling for young people across Africa to submit an essay or artwork on the Topic of How Africa can stand together in overcoming the COVID -19 Pandemic.

The competition attracted entries from writers and artists across the African continent, and Ms. Ritah Njabeh Bonwi, a student at WACWISA-UDS was adjudged the overall winner for the essay category. As part of the campaign activities, Ms. Kwami disclosed that Africa needs to create 15 million decent jobs every year by 2025, and as such, her organization has launched the JobsNowAfrica Campaign. She, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the university community to sign up for the campaign on its website (www.jobsnowafrica.org).

Also present during the ceremony were Ms. Josephine Dakudjie and Ms. Gertrude Owusu-Asante of the UDS Accra Office.
