The West African Centre for Water, Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture of the University for Development Studies (WACWISA-UDS) has undertaken its annual review meeting at the Extee Crystal Hotel in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The three (3) day event that took place from 30th November to 2nd December, 2022 witnessed participation of team members from key specialized areas of the university, aimed at reviewing 2022, activities, targets and achievements and also next steps for 2023.
Welcoming participants to the workshop, the Director of WACWISA-UDS, Prof. Felix K. Abagale expressed his appreciation to the team for their participation in the annual review and planning team. He gave a brief overview of the birth and journey of WACWISA and key achievements of some of its activities and collaboration with local and international partners in areas such as Water Resource Management, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Sustainable Agriculture, Climate Change, Food and Nutrition Security. Various team leaders took turns to present achievements and gaps to be filled for their respective Disbursement Linkages Indicators (DLIs).
