PROF. DR. SANKARANARAYANAN is an Indian Agricultural Engineering Professor, who Served as founder and Dean of the School of Agricultural Engineering, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, University of Rwanda and contributed to Agricultural Engineering Education, Research and Extension in Rwanda. Prof. Sankara was best known for starting Diploma, BSc, MSc and PhD in Agricultural Engineering in Rwanda, which led to the development of practical solutions for preventing or limiting the effects of real or perceived shortages of food through irrigation, drainage and mechanization.
