Dr. Richard Agyemang Osei is a lecturer in the Department of Environment, Water and Waste Engineering. He is a member and the head of laboratories of the West African Centre for Water, Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture (WACWISA) under the African Centers of Excellence the World Bank, Impact project specialized in irrigation, water resources, sustainable agriculture and climate change. His research interests include Environmental Engineering, Water Resource Management, Environmental Sanitation, Waste Management and Treatment technologies, and Climate Change. He has a multidisciplinary background of research works, focused in the areas of water quality monitoring, design of treatment technologies for pollutant removal, wastewater and faecal sludge treatment. He has a high level of expertise in both in-situ and laboratory analysis of environmental quality parameters and is very familiar with various standard methods and modern advanced analytical techniques of pollutant monitoring.
