Prof. Kees van ‘t Klooster is an innovation and development expert in the agriculture and water domain. Born and raised on a mixed farm he has 40 years post graduate experience. As agricultural engineer with degrees from Wageningen University, he has authored over 100 technical and scientific papers, and has wide international experience with a focus on innovative agricultural value chains in Africa. He has initiated several values chain-based PPP projects as well as irrigation development projects in Africa. He has a specific interest in high-value and labour-intensive crops that can boost economic development in hitherto underdeveloped parts of the world in commodities like essential oils, dairy, sugarcane, avocados, blueberries, etc.
