Ing. Prof. Felix K. Abagale, Director of the West African Centre for Water, Irrigation and Sustainable Agriculture, University for Development Studies (WACWISA-UDS) has been appointed as Governing Council Member of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). The WACWISA-UDS Director and other members participated in the inaugural ceremony held at the Ministry of Education under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu.
The eleven (11) Member Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Prof. Yaw Agyemang Badu is to steer the Institute towards efficient management for greater excellence and impact as a higher educational Institute. Other members of the Council are Prof. Victor Kwame Agyemang, Chairperson of Public Services Commission; Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, Head of the Civil Service; Prof. Mohammed Salifu representative of National Council for Tertiary Education now Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC); Prof. Michale Kpessa-Whyte, Director General of State Enterprises Commission now State Interest and Governance Authority (SIGA), Prof. Samuel Kwaku Bonsu, Rector of the Institute; Mr. Rockson Kwesi Dogbegah represents the Association of Ghana Industries; Mr. Osei Tutu Agyeman representative of GIMPA Alumni; Prof. Gamel O. Wiredu represents Senior Members Staff of the Institute whilst Dr. Amina Jangu Alhassan and Ing. Prof. Felix K. Abagale are Government’s nominees on the Governing Council
