Mr. Tony Akpene Klu has over Sixteen (16) years of working experience as a Communications and Engagement Practitioner with the extractive industry, International Donor Organisations, Government and Non-Profit Organisations. He possess practical and hands on experience in communication strategy development and implementation, stakeholder engagements, media relations/management, supervision and production of communication materials. He is dynamic with a blend in theoretical understanding in Development studies and professional training and experience in delivering on communication related activities and projects.
Within the past years, Mr. Klu has worked as Communications Consultant/Manager with Stratcomm Africa ( consulting for Newmont Ghana, UNICEF, GIZ Microfinance Consumer Education Campaign, Appolonia City of Light etc), Nathan Associates London Ltd ( implementing DFID funded MADE Project in Northern Ghana), IFDC Ghana ( USAID Feed the Future Project/CSIR-SARI), Savannah Communications ltd ( GIZ MOAP, Newmont Ghana, Songtaba, Catholic Relief Services I-COWASH Project, ICRISAT-Mali etc)
He is a member of Institute of Public Relations-Ghana, with MPhil In Development Studies from the University for Development Studies and Certificates in relevant communication professional courses in Ghana and South Africa.
